FC Series Fluorocarbon Surfactants

The eMAI™ FC Series fluorocarbon surfactants are specialty formulations based on perfluoro- or polyfluoroalkyl surfactants compounded with high-efficiency auxiliaries. Their fluorocarbon segments provide extremely low surface and interfacial tension, significantly reducing the interfacial tension between acid fluids and hydrocarbon-bearing formations and improving acid-fluid flow through the reservoir. The products are suitable for acidizing and fracturing, reservoir stimulation, unplugging, gas-well water-block removal, and wellbore cleaning. They feature high surface activity, good temperature and salt resistance, good compatibility with acid fluids and other additives, and low treating concentrations.

Overview and Applications

PBR degrades polymer and gel damage; DFR and DF5212 provide silicone and silicone-free defoaming; FC56/FC76 lower surface and interfacial tension in acidizing and fracturing fluids; and OV153 improves heavy-oil mobility, forming a coordinated production-enhancement portfolio.
