Isotridecanol Ethoxylates IS13 Series

The eMAI™ IS13 Series isotridecanol ethoxylates are nonionic surfactants formed by ring-opening polymerization of isotridecanol with ethylene oxide (EO). The polyoxyethylene segments provide excellent hydrophilicity, while the isomeric alkane structure delivers good wetting, emulsifying, dispersing, and penetrating action. As nonionic surfactants, they do not ionize in aqueous solution, offering extremely high chemical stability against acids, alkalis, and strong electrolytes, and are largely unaffected by hard water.

Overview and Applications

The portfolio covers fatty-alcohol ethoxylates, isotridecyl and isodecyl alcohol ethoxylates, alkylphenol ethoxylates, sorbitan esters, and polyoxyethylene sorbitan derivatives. Grades can be selected by HLB and solubility for industrial cleaning, textiles, metalworking, coatings, agrochemicals, oilfield, and personal-care formulations.
