DC45 Decarbonization Agent
The main component of eMAI™ DC45 decarbonization agent is an activated sterically hindered organic amine compound—a composite, high-efficiency, selective CO₂ removal solvent. Through chemical absorption and regenerative desorption, it rapidly captures free gaseous carbon dioxide via a reversible coordination reaction, without adsorbing hydrocarbon gases such as methane and ethane, effectively improving natural gas purity. The product features high selectivity, low hydrocarbon co-absorption, resistance to oxidative degradation, and low heat of reaction; it tolerates trace hydrogen sulfide and entrained formation condensate, and does not blacken or degrade in long-term circulating service. The product is used for CO₂ removal in natural gas gathering/processing and refining processes, without affecting subsequent natural gas dehydration, export, or liquefaction processes.
Overview and Applications
DC45 selectively removes carbon dioxide, DS scavenges hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans, KHI10 delays hydrate nucleation, growth, and agglomeration, and FL30 reduces friction to improve crude throughput. The range supports natural-gas gathering, crude pipelines, and refinery front-end treatment.
