Erucamidopropyl Betaine
Erucamidopropyl betaine eMAI™ EAB is a zwitterionic compound produced by amidation of erucic acid with N,N-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine, followed by quaternization with sodium chloroacetate, and finally purified and refined by vacuum distillation. Product features: Readily soluble in alcohol-water mixed solutions; Maintains stable performance over a wide pH range; Good compatibility with anionic, cationic, and nonionic surfactants; Effectively reduces the surface tension of liquids, improving cleaning power; Provides a certain thickening effect with anionics or in high-salinity water.
Overview and Applications
The range includes lauric-, oleic-, and erucic-amidopropyl betaines, C12–C18 alkyl dimethyl betaines, and fatty-amidopropyl hydroxysultaines for personal cleansing and conditioning, oil displacement and VES acidizing, textile antistatic treatment, and wetting, emulsifying, or thickening formulations.
