COI Dedicated Corrosion Inhibitor Series

The eMAI™ COI Series corrosion inhibitors are specifically developed for media such as lactic acid, sulfamic acid, and acetic acid. Composed mainly of composite quinoline-based quaternary ammonium salts, they incorporate abundant adsorption sites in the molecular structure and form an extremely strong chemisorbed film on metal surfaces, effectively reducing hydrogen-ion corrosion of steel parts. The products are used for acid pickling, descaling, and rust removal in power generation, chemical processing, boilers, refineries, electroplating, deep oilfield acidizing, and precision equipment cleaning, featuring low dosage, low corrosion rates, and high temperature resistance.

Overview and Applications

COI inhibitors serve lactic, sulfamic, and acetic acids plus H₂S/CO₂ environments; CI grades cover hydrochloric- and mud-acid treatments from 90 to 160°C; CIVA grades protect 60–95°C VES diverting-acid systems, providing low-dosage, high-temperature corrosion control for well stimulation, industrial cleaning, and equipment descaling.
