SC Chelating Descaling Agent
The chelating descaling agent eMAI™ SC is composed mainly of multidentate carboxyl compounds—a non-acidic, environmentally friendly chelating descaler. Abandoning traditional strong-acid cleaning processes, it relies on the synergy of multiple high-efficiency composite chelating agents to safely and efficiently remove stubborn scales such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate through powerful complex solubilization and dispersion/stripping mechanisms. The product has an extremely low corrosion rate on metal equipment and is fully biodegradable. It can be used in oil and gas fields and downhole operations—for example, to remove refractory scales such as barium sulfate and strontium sulfate from oilfield wellbores, water injection networks, and production equipment—avoiding corrosion damage to tubing strings caused by strong acids.
Overview and Applications
SC uses multidentate carboxylates and composite chelants; SCC and SCB target calcium-carbonate and difficult barium-sulfate scale respectively. The biodegradable, non-acid system minimizes metal corrosion and supports circulating cleaning of downhole and surface oilfield equipment.
